The Company They design and manufacture specialist hi-tech industrial machines supplying to a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace and pump manufacturers. All of their products are manufactured onsite in Bristol and distributed worldwide.
The Position
Due to continued growth they are looking for an experienced electrical design engineer to join their team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing electrical designs conforming to the latest safety standards and owning the design through to successful implementation into machinery products
General Requirements of Role
• Hardware design - schematic, panel layout, cable harnesses & parts lists and similar • Safety circuit designs • Completing bills of materials • Procurement of parts • Reviewing non-conformance • Working with and consulting suppliers as necessary • Occasional requirements to work at customer sites worldwide • Working additional hours as required Required Experience
• Working knowledge of a CAD based system essential • Knowledge of drives, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, comms, switches, sensors, transformers etc advantageous • Knowledge of PLC programming advantageous • Knowledge of Allen Bradley controls advantageous • Time served with proven background in a similar role • Proven electrical design experience
Qualifications • 17th edition qualifications • City and Guilds or higher electrical qualifications
