DESIGN ENGINEER The company manufacture a range of high performance radio equipment which is used in body worn, mobile and aircraft installations.They also manufacture COFDM transmitters and receivers.The systems are currently being used by police and rescue services and in service with MOD.Some of the work is designed in house, some is subcontracted out A Design Engineer is now required who will be capable of supporting the existing equipment, developing the mesh network system to increase performance and operate on additional frequency bands, and bring more of the design in house. The Design Engineer will have an in depth understanding of Analogue modulation techniques and digital design experience. Understanding of DVB techniques. Understanding of antennas and propagation. Capable of pcb circuit design. Capable of prototype development. RF Design experience. Able to interpret requirements and provide technical solutions. Able to write design specifications, wiring schedules, parts lists. Familiar with RF test equipment – Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, Vector Analysers, Power meters. Preferably knowledge of FPGA Tool Design and digital microwave radio modules and systems.
